HCS Family Services relies on the generosity of individuals, companies, organizations, and foundations for the financial donations needed to provide nourishing food to those in need across communities in DuPage and Cook counties.
Because we are a part of the efficient food bank system, your financial donation can have tremendous impact: We can turn $1 into $8 worth of groceries.
Donations may also be made by phone by calling Wendy Michalski, HCS Family Services Executive Director at 630-884-9117.
If you prefer to send a check, it can be mailed directly to:

Monthly Donations
Please consider becoming a monthly donor. Your monthly donation allows us to take a planned, long-term approach to helping those in need and it saves us administrative costs which means more of your money goes here it is needed most. You can select the amount of your financial donation, to be processed monthly, helping us ensure that food will be available whenever our neighbors need it.
Matching Gifts
Many companies match their employees’ gifts to nonprofit organizations. Please check with your company’s human resources department to see if your company will match your donation to HCS Family Services, and what paperwork you need to complete to make that transaction occur.
Honorary Gifts
Recognize someone who made an impact on your life such as a colleague, family member, or friend. Honorary gifts are a great way to say thank you.
Celebration Gifts
Suggest friends and family make a donation in lieu of gifts for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries or other milestones. Special occasions are good reminders of the importance of giving to others.
Memorial Gifts
Express sympathy and respect by making a gift in memory of a loved one. Many people make memorial donations instead of sending flowers to the funeral.
Please include with your contribution the honoree’s name and address, so that we may notify that person or family of your thoughtfulness. In the case of a deceased honoree, please also include the name(s) and address of the family member(s) to whom you would like an acknowledgment sent, as well as their relationship to the deceased.
Typically, an acknowledgment letter will be sent to the donor (including IRS language), and then a letter will be sent to the honoree or honoree’s family. That letter will include the donor’s name and address unless anonymity is requested, but not the gift amount.
HCS Family Services is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, allowing all donations to be tax-deductible to the extent of the law. Your support provides food and hope to individuals and families in their time of need. Our tax-exempt identification number is 36-2174821.
Food Donations
Organizations, companies, and families can also host food drives for specific items the food pantry needs. Visit our Food and Fund Drives page to learn how to get started.
